Sources checked Nov. 2, 2026. Verified means confirmed by a primary source, such as the company or auction house. Reported means it comes from a hobby news outlet.
Hobby outlets reported that a customer of PrizePicks’ new digital packs pulled the Dylan Harper 1/1 that sold for $2.88 million in September, and that Goldin’s Pokémon 30th Anniversary auction topped $28 million. Topps also has a packed release week, and the new Pokémon set lands Friday. Here is what mattered from Oct. 26 to Nov. 1, 2026.
Releases & Launches

Dates can move. Source: Topps release calendar (checked Nov. 2, 2026).
Why it matters (our view): Flagship Basketball and Chrome Update Baseball are two of the most collected sets of the year, so expect lots of new rookie cards on the market. - [Verified] Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Delta Reign arrives Nov. 6. It has more than 135 cards, led by Mega Rayquaza ex. Source: Pokémon.com announcement (Aug. 20, 2026).
Why it matters (our view): A new English set usually brings a rush of openings, so singles prices can swing a lot in the first few weeks. - [Reported] Last week’s street dates included 2026 Panini Donruss Football and 2026 Topps Five Star Baseball (Oct. 28) and 2026 Bowman Football Sapphire Edition (Oct. 29). Donruss is not licensed by the NFL, so its cards show no team logos. Source: The Ballers Bank release roundup (dates as of Oct. 18, 2026).
Why it matters (our view): These boxes are being opened right now, so early sales are thin. Give comps a few weeks to settle.
Big Hits & Finds
- [Reported] Dylan Harper 1/1 pulled from a digital pack: PrizePicks told Heavy that a customer pulled the 2025-26 Topps Chrome Update Dylan Harper NBA Debut Patch Autograph 1/1 (PSA 9, auto 10), the card that sold for $2.88 million at Fanatics Collect in September. A debut patch card holds the jersey patch a player wore in his first NBA game. Sports Card Investor said it came from a $25 pack, which PrizePicks did not confirm to Heavy. Source: Heavy (Oct. 30, 2026).
Why it matters (our view): This is the first million-dollar card to come out of one of the new digital packs. Remember the odds on cards like this are extremely long. - [Reported] Jackie Robinson debut ticket stubs found in family boxes: two stubs from side-by-side seats at Robinson’s 1947 Dodgers debut turned up in stored family keepsakes and are headed to Heritage after PSA authentication and grading. Source: Sports Collectors Daily (Oct. 29, 2026).
Why it matters (our view): Old family boxes still hold surprises. Have anything that looks old checked before it gets tossed.
Top Auctions
- [Reported] Goldin’s Pokémon 30th Anniversary auction: more than $28 million in total, with 18 record sales. A PSA 10 2015 Japanese XY Promo Art Academy Mudkip brought $4.88 million and a PSA 8 1997 Japanese Gold Trophy Pikachu brought more than $3 million (buyer’s premium included). The auction closed Oct. 25. Source: ICv2 (Oct. 29, 2026).
Why it matters (our view): Rare Japanese promos and high grades are where the biggest Pokémon money is right now. - [Reported] Football’s top sales of the week: a 2020 Panini National Treasures Joe Burrow Patch Auto /99 (PSA 10, auto 10) sold for $81,000 on Oct. 29, and a 2017 Panini Prizm Red Power Patrick Mahomes /49 (PSA 10) sold for $70,400 on eBay on Oct. 25. Source: SI Collects (Nov. 1, 2026; sale data via Card Ladder).
Why it matters (our view): Low-numbered rookie autos and patches of star quarterbacks are still the cards buyers chase hardest. - [Reported] Goldin’s weekly basketball close (Oct. 30): the top lot was a 2012-13 Panini Prizm Autographs Kobe Bryant (BGS 9.5, auto 10) at $24,551, followed by a 2021-22 Crown Royale Kaboom! Stephen Curry (PSA 10) at $24,400. Source: What The Slab Goldin report (data through Oct. 30, 2026).
Why it matters (our view): A regular weekly auction is a better picture of everyday prices than the record-setting headline sales.
